Nature Diary... Fig and Ficus

I had recently bought some fresh figs and had just one left when to my delight my eldest son presented me a non-birthday gift of a beautiful little Bonsai Ficus tree, my first Bonsai.
Easy for him, this Bonsai hobby, as he, my son, has quite a collection of beautiful Bonsais and is used to knowing how to care for them, but for me it’s the start of yet another new project. Excellent!
