Waiting to pounce.

Spider sitting in the Japanese anemone waiting for a victim. These flowers are frequently visited by small Hoverflies. I did consider setting up the camera on the tripod. Then focussing on the flower and waiting for some action.

Trouble is I don’t have as much patience as the spider and I have other things to do.
For example trying to identify the spider. But with about 650 varieties in Britain that may not be easy.

It has been a perfect Autumn day and we have made good use of it.
