Fuchsia

I bought a new fuchsia plant earlier in the summer, and one stem got broken before I planted it in the garden.  I took the broken stem and put it in a jam jar of water on the kitchen window sill along with a couple of tree seedlings.  A couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd better get on with putting the seedlings in pots, and found to my surprise that the fuchsia had grown a healthy root system, so I planted it in a pot too.  Now, the buds are opening.  I'm chuffed - I don't usually have this kind of success with plant growing.
