Orcas

Orcas belong to the dolphin/porpoise family and are not whales, in spite of being called killer whales. This group hang around the Alert Bay area and were beautiful animals to watch. Their dorsal fins can be up to 6 feet in height. Magnificent.
The extra was the sunset last night. We caught the ferry across to Port McNeill this morning and are now sitting in Vancouver, l think l have a cold coming on, may take a stiffner to try and head it off.
