Bogus Claim

I'm not sure whether it was just a coincidence that this pub name had dropped a couple of letters or whether they had been removed deliberately. Whichever it was, I didn't get the chance to put the quality of their ales to the test, although the fact that the pub houses the Dartmoor brewery suggests they may be as good as their billing!

Princetown owes its name - and existence - to Sir Thomas Tyrwhirtt, then secretary to the Prince of Wales, who in 1785 bought the land from the Duchy of Cornwall and named the village in honour of his employer. Another pub in the village is called The Plume of Feathers.

All behind with blips and comments again, being busy with Sophie.
