Rockcliffe

After a full Scottish breakfast Gill and I set off to explore the area. First stop was Dalbeattie to check out the craft and coffee shops, then on to Rockcliffe on the coast of the Solway Firth.

The weather was absolutely perfect! We sat on a bench and soaked up the sun while watching an assortment of dogs having a romp on the rocky shore.

It was then on to Kippford, also on the coast, but very different. We had a simple lunch of soup there, also sitting in the sun, then had a look round the Barnbarroch Pottery on the way back to the hotel.

Sorry I'm so behind with comments. I hope to catch up with all your journals when I get home.

Extra 1  -  a couple birdwatching across the bay at Kippford

Extra 2  -  another view of Rockcliffe. Can you see the wind farm in the distance?
