Arriving in Dover

Watching these guys as they worked at steadying and making the ship fast etc. was fascinating. We caught an early morning ferry from Calais and there were only a few cars on board, so we were placed at the front and let off first. The sun was just rising as we set off from Calais, was shining on the cliffs of Dover as we arrived and was with us all the way home. We seem to have returned from France to some lovely weather. Not quite as warm as we have been used to, but it will do.

And within an hour of arriving home, Gordon set out again to go to Carlisle to watch football. I'm  doing very little - all the unpacking and sorting will be done tomorrow.
