Tui’s In a Kowhai Tree

Out with the Churton Park staggerers today and it was a great one where we staggered up this hill and kept guessing when the top would appear which was a lot later than anyone thought. The Boss has filed  the map because  it was such a good one with fantastic views, (extra) that he would love to take The Bossess there sometime.
These Tui’s (NZ Native bird) were having a meeting about the over use of the track by noisy walkers but allowed The Boss to get in iPhone range for this shot but as he waited patiently for the third one to turn around it decided to go directly to the Tui Council to complain and then the others followed. Wellington is amazing for its Native birds in bush that is essentially in domestic suburbs.
