Hanging out the Whites
A day of travelling from the southern mountains of Portugal to it’s capital Lisboa (Lisbon) We travelled by train from Faro to Lisbon having made a smooth car journey to Faro airport from the residence.
Spent a little time in Faro where I diagnosed the Jacaranda tree ( should have known that) and the Cataplana, a very high quality copper pan that fish stews are made in. See extras if interested shortly.
Oh boy it’s hilly in Lisbon. Our taxi driver spoke perfect English and amused us along the way with tricky one way driving in narrow streets. Our Air B and B man was waiting at the exact spot and introduced us to the quirks of our “little house” He spoke good English and gave us plenty of information. The place is very small but very nicely decorated and has everything you need.
After dinner we slept like a couple of logs.
