duck

D, Sarah, Luke and I had a day out today at Samye Ling, the Tibetan Buddhist Centre near Eskdalemuir. It's such a lovely place to visit - startlingly colourful against the green of the surrounding hills, and very peaceful. 

We wandered around the grounds and gardens and spent some time in the temple and the teashop. On our way back to the carpark, I stopped to take a photo of the ducks. This photo was taken with me lying down on the path..the ducks are so tame that they had been pecking at my fingers and camera. Out of shot is my assistant D, trying to distract them :-)
