Birgu

Thanks to Sharon's past & catching up with her old sailing coach, Trevor who is now based in the Royal Malta Yacht Club we were invited to meet at Ta' biex & head to Birgu for dinner. He took us in a rib across  to Birgu, giving us fabulous views from the water of all the magnificent  buildings & pointed  out lots about  its naval history. We had a walking tour through areas tourists don't normally  go to. We had drinks in a local band club, another place tourists  don't get to & dinner in an unusual restaurant. The return journey after dinner was fabulous, with a the light s reflecting into the water.
We visited Mdina earlier in the day after another pre-breakfast swim, it was interesting too.
