Autumn

A blanket added to the bed, windows closed at night apart from the bathroom, chill in the evening air.

Went with MT to try a restaurant near the Gyle, which I had heard some good vibes. Enjoyed the food, not too noisy, managed to wait in a queue to order. MT treated me to a slice of 'take home' cake. A bit of velvet cake scoffed tonight with some ice cream. Will have the rest of the cake tomorrow - big slices.

This is the horse-chestnut at the front of the house where the tips were catching the evening sun. There are some large conkers there not yet ready to drop. No throwing sticks to bring them down - too near the neighbours' cars.
