Small Coppers and Clouded yellows
A very relaxing day. A beautiful walk along the coast.
A picnic. Clear blue skies and strong sun. S swam off the rocks. Coco got very hot. She won’t swim, hates getting wet.
We saw lots of little Small Copper and fast flying never landing Clouded yellow butterflies which we have never seen before - along with lots of Common blue, Large white, Red admiral, Speckled wood, Small heath and a Small white and lastly by no means least a single Comma. It was wonderful to see so many. All the way along the path.
Several new flowers including Autumn squill, Sheep’s bit (scabious), Rock samphire in flower and the strangest of all - Dodder (see extra). Others I will try and identify tomorrow on the laptop.
