Epiphany

Today being 6th January and held by many as the Feast of the Epiphany , Christmas is over , decorations come down. We spent the most part of this afternoon packing the decorations & lights away in 3 suitcases and stored them in the loft.

I remember being in Lanzarote at this time of year about 6 years ago. We were delighted to be able to se the celebration of the wise men coming into the town on camels greeted by the families and children all along the streets to the stable set up in the middle of town. The children were very excited as they received sweets from the " kings" and then we were treated to a very moving ceremony around the stable with the Wise Men visiting the stable with the traditional gifts for the baby. The children performed a simple nativity tableau. all very moving. Afterwards everyone took part in a festive meal and we were told the children would go home to receive their gifts.

So tonight it just had to be a blip of the kings at the stable. Played around with it a bit. Not sure it works but there you go, a wee bit different from my recent football blips.
