Looking inside a tree

Today a man came to look inside the trunk of a big Norway Maple tree on the main meadow where we live.

During the recent development wide tree survey, it was noted that this tree trunk had poor resonance in a localised area and a few other issues. As this is a very big estimated to be 50 year old, maple tree more testing was required to understand how to look after the tree and to ensure safety around it. That was done today; we await the results but it all looked very odd indeed.

It was a working at home day for me which was good as I was able to take a few photos of the work the chap doing the tree work.  After work we had a very quick trip to the allotment and then went out for some dinner.
