Epiphany

This is the Cathedral of The Isles on Cumbrae. 40 years ago, the then Dean of Argyll & The Isles died after many years of inspiring incumbency here, and his ashes buried in the graveyard. Today The St Maura singers, a quartet associated with the Cathedral since our formation in the days of Dean Douglas and whose encouragement supported us in these early years, sang here in an Epiphany Carol service that was also a memorial. On the altar was a photo of the Dean and his missal, covered in a piece of material from the coronation robe of Tsar Nicholas II.

Former Primus +Idris led the service. It was simply inspiring. George Douglas would have approved.
