If you can't beat them...

Highland scenery.

When we looked out of the camper the ground was dry, still very windy but the day promised to be reasonable if not good.  We had a leisurely start to the day calling at the bank in Ullapool for some cash and were on our way.  Our route to Applecross was taking us past the Corrieshalloch Gorge which about we had thought about visiting yesterday but had decided the weather was too wet.

The extra is a shot from the viewing platform at the Corrieshalloch gorge, apparently the gorge was cut by water after the ice age, the current river is dwarfed by the gorge.
Today we had calm and periods of sun so Kanyl made his way slowly down to the viewing platform.  After a few shots he started making his way back up to the van while I went on to the next viewing platform.  Next stop was Inverewe gardens, we decided we didn't have time to visit but had another pleasant lunch before continuing through magnificent scenery to Applecross.
