Spritz in Lucca

It’s our last day in Italy. We’ve had a great weekend and had chance to catch up with Lori who still had 6 more weeks before coming home. Her Italian is great and she’s very happy and relaxed here, and as Matt comes most weekends it’s worked out really well.
After taking the dogs a walk and packing our bags we went to Lucca for lunch. It’s a great city, very pretty, lots to see and a lovely vibe. We stopped for aperitifs before lunch.
Lunch was in a typical square with lots of restaurants and my first course was eggs served in a small brass frying pan with truffle on top. Delicious. This was followed by a boar burger and potatoes cooked in olive oil, of course. At 5pm we caught the train to Pisa for our 8pm flight to Heathrow.
As we only live 4 stops from the airport we were back home by 10pm and greeted at the door by Idgy and Mistofolees.
