Reach for the sky

After the first flush of flowers was over on this rose, it sent up these two shoots. They have just carried on growing, up and up, until at last the blooms appeared on the top. They are too high to be enjoyed! I didn’t prune my roses this year, but I think I must give this one severe pruning next time.
