St Bartholomew's Church

A few weeks ago,when I went for a drive, I came across this church. It struck me as odd that it was relatively modern (1800s) and that it was in the middle of nowhere. I also had a sense of deja vu, which wasn't surprising as I lived nearby when I was a child. After a little research, I discovered that it was built in the 1850s and its location was chosen because the vicar believed that it would be located on the new Portishead to Bristol road. Unfortunately for the vicar,  they built the road somewhere else...
