The drove

This is the drove that you have to run along if you do Littleport Parkrun. It almost looks pretty from this angle with the sun obliterating everything. It’s my least favourite part of the course because it’s a bottleneck, there are brambles and nettles on each side, it’s uneven and it can be really slippery when it’s muddy or icy. You only have to run along it three times, though, so that’s good.

I marshalled again today. I had to tell the runners whether to go round to my left or right, depending on which lap they were on. I felt like the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz, pointing this way and that. Only a few people tried to go the wrong way. I’ll do better next time I’m stationed there.
