Last of the Summer Welsh Cakes!

Barry Island, Wales

Such a dark, wet, dreary morning. So I decided to cheer myself up by playing with my pics from yesterday, when it really did feel like Summer, and when I really did buy Welsh Cakes!

Yesterday in brief:
- Train to Bristol, train to Cardiff, train to Barry Island
- Hot Chocolate and Cannolis in the sun at Marcos Café, as seen in “Gavin and Stacey”!
- Stroll along the seafront, watching the Surf Life Saving Wales Nippers Carnival - swimming, surfing and running
- Walk along the coastal path to Jackson’s Bay for a paddle
- Back along the cliff top path to Whitmore Bay for salty seaside chips
- Walk along the coastal path in the opposite direction to Friars Point
- Back to the beach for an Italian ice cream
- Nessa’s Slots (another Gavin and Stacey setting) to lose money on my favourite 2 penny machines
- Train to Cardiff Central to track down Welsh Cakes!
- Train to Bristol, train home

And all under the most wonderful blue skies and 25 degree sunshine...

(Much more detail when viewed in “large”. I know many have said the same thing before, but why do photos lose their clarity when uploaded to blip...)
