Grasmere

Well,  the weather didn't last.   Today it reverted to type with torrential downpours.

We decided to risk it at lunchtime and attempted another Wainwright in the shape of Seat Sandal near Grasmere.

It was quite a climb, very steep at the top and  made harder by the poor visibility as we neared the summit.  The visibility didn't improve all the way down and it started to rain heavily.

We managed to do it and got down in one piece.   Our Wainwright tally now stands at 156.   58 to go.  The weather will have to improve if we are to make inroads into this.

Not many pictures taken because of the conditions.   This was a view back to Grasmere near the start of the ascent.
