Church Glass

Today we cycled round the Arthurian forests in Brittany. When the Welsh settled in Brittany they took with them the Arthurian legends, which took hold in Brittany and were embellished before being exported back to England.

The place isn't very Arthurian to be honest, but there are plenty of hard wood forests, lakes and ruined castle bits to feed your imagination. After a very long tedious climb up a long straight hill we arrived in Tréorenteuc, where the Eglise du Graal is, and where this stained glass window was photographed. We then had a crêpe and cycled back to the campsite.

Just over 50 km today on our rest day, though with no load.
