And more . . .

I know, I seem to be blipping these building sites on a regular basis, but I do find them fascinating.

Friends came from Yorkshire to visit and they brought the rain with them. We sat and chatted for a while - good to have a catch up. Then we went for a long, and lovely lunch at The Bridge Bistro. The rain started so, instead of the moving on, we sat some more and even had desserts/coffee.

We then drove to Pooley Bridge and had a peek at the new bridge building. Actually the work at the moment is much more to do with getting rid of the footings of the old temporary bridge, with the help of a couple of JCBs. It was quite mesmerising, if very noisy, to watch the machine breaking everything up. On the left is the new temporary footbridge, which we walked over. This might have been a team photo blip, but as it was pouring down and it was all rainwear and umbrellas, it was more interesting to see machines at work!
