Then and now

Iyana, Issy, Madeleine. Dentist in the morning, and Jenny, Madeleine (9) and Iyana (7) Palmer all came round for lunch and stayed for the afternoon, which meant entertaining the two girls with such fun as kids charades, hide and seek, and the apparently hilariously fun game of 'can you carry me and make me touch the ceiling'. Still, both very cute. We tried to replicate a photo of Madeleine, Issy and Iyana from 3 years ago (of which Iyana remarked 'oh, look - that was back when I didn't know how to smile yet').

In the evening George drove Marmaduke and I into Brighton on his way to the casino, and we went for steaks at café rouge (..and starters and pudding and a bottle of wine, woah), and then the Seven Stars pub and then the wetherspoons in the laines where we met up with Nicky and her boyfriend Joe, which was a lot of fun and everyone got on really well and drunk far far too much.
