Passing the time of day

Trying to pursue the idea of a study of One Street in a rural environment is throwing up all sorts of problems. For example, I have an issue with recording people, when there are very few people about, especially in the winter. Also, it is virtually impossible to take the kind of anonymous shots that are associated with street photography. A bit of lateral thinking may be required here.

Meanwhile, here is a people shot, taken this morning from my kitchen window. Neighbours passing by and stopping for a chat. This is what happens in the village; if people meet on the road, they invariably stop and chat. Not a brilliant photograph, as it was through the window and very poor light. And I was reluctant to put it into the inevitable street photography mono, as I feel that details, such as the green of the moss on the walls and the greyness over the hills, give the image some context.

But here it is: On my Street - passing the time of day.
