twinned with trumpton

To town; and fetch Her out of her bed (a little jaded after the birthday yesterday)
Eventually we headed out into sunshine and off out along the canal on the bikes; bound for Jupiter (Artland).
75 minutes and 13 miles later we were there; Pay What You Like Tuesday, so it wiz! The proceeds go to charity.

It's been a year or two since we were last here; and this time it was good to be child free to actually look at stuff and not have to keep counting heads or refereeing minor squabbles. The first half had nothing new but still contains my favourite thing there - the Iain Hamilton Finlay bridge 'Only Connect'.

A brief squall swept across before we hit the Jencks for a potter about; and a couple of new pieces (Sara Barker's is the blip). And so we completed the tour; grabbed a coffee what from what is clearly Pay Through the Nose Tuesday pricing structure (£7.20 for 2 flat whites?? Feck; when did deepest W Lothian take on London prices?)

And homewards, retracing our route outwards, bar a quick stop for bits for dinner.

A RTC piece of brisket was duly cooked slowly until it crumbled and added a BBQ sauce and some jalepeno mayo and wholemeal wraps. A good and peaceful day, mostly.

Extra is a more traditional view of Jupiter Artland
