PRESSURE COOKERS

My old one died after 40 years' faithful service churning out Boeuf Bourguinons & Rogn Joshes &c.

Downtown today to buy this shiny new replacement job.

The first time I saw a pressure cooker was when Ian Magnus Heddle (aka "The Great Ork) returned from Burma after WW2. He came home one day with this enormous cast iron thing that looked like a giant hand grenade equipped with a pressure gauge. He tried it out on his brother's beautiful Brussels Sprouts - he gave them 20 minutes at two atmospheres...

Reslt - pink mush!!
