Social Media Stupidity

I'm seriously thinking of dumping a specific social media site.  Every third entry is a sponsored advert. At the moment they seem to think I'm really interested in shoes and hearing-aids.  Apparently they find out so much about you by what you post that they tailor these ads specifically for you.  

Where they got the idea that I would be interested in caring for my tattoos is a mystery to me, given that I have no tattoos and the chances of me getting a tattoo are nil.

Anyway it's a rubbish Blip that I apologise for.  I had no interest in anything today except for getting home.  An hour and a half with the German income tax website on behalf on a friend was the last straw.  There must be worse websites out there but Elster.de is a steaming pile of craptitude.
