Southwell Minster after rain

I had to get out today. Basil accompanied me to Southwell Minster, just under an hour away in Nottinghamshire. I fancied viewing the Sciyuda exhibition there by Terence Hale.

It wasn't very big but it certainly fulfilled the objective of conveying the sense of serenity and magic of which the photographer spoke. The name, Sciyuda, refers to an ancient part of the forest.

As we entered the church, one of the lady wardens recognised Basil from a previous visit. He got plenty of attention.

Afterwards, we went to the refectory. Was mighty pleased that Basil was allowed in. We'll be going there again.
