A slice of Lesley's life

Leaning Tower of Sushi

Unsurprisingly everyone seemed to wake up with a cloud over them this morning. Everyone likes the stuff they do that isn't being on holiday (ie work and school) but no matter how much we like it, we like holidays more. You'd think that tomorrow would be 'cloud day' as that's when work and school start for me and the kids but somehow it always seems to be the last day of the holidays that's harder.

After spending the early part of the morning mooching around with long faces, me and the kids had a meeting and made a plan for the day....not everything went entirely to plan but we managed the main things that everyone wanted and it's turned out to be a pretty good day. The picture represents Anna's highlight - we had to include a trip to Westfield for new trainers (for her) and so we indulged her love of Yo Sushi. Jackson had a friend over this afternoon and spent three solid hours alternating playing football in the garden and on the Wii. Also made him happy with a game of Ticket to Ride (who am I kidding - that was on my list too). As was me and Anna continuing on our text adventure quest - we made small amounts of progress but I am concerned the game might last longer than our patience. Rounded off the kids' day with pizza and film.

Goes without saying these days that it's more Breaking Bad for us tonight.

In a weird way I'm sort of looking forward to getting back in the swing of term time. And it really is a very short amount of time until the next holiday.
