Little and large

I found it so hard to choose which photo to blip but decided on these two trees with the sun hidden in the mist. It was so foggy in Dingwall you could only just see in front of your face. I had the Puffin Pool first but was soo tempted to skip it and just go out and take some photographs. Luckily the fog was still there when I came out so it was a quick drive down to Ferry Point to grab a few shots. It was beautiful, full of atmosphere.Hundreds of geese could be heard overhead, the eerie cry of the curlew filled the air and a heron silently waded through the water picking out little fish.Cobwebs were covered in droplets of water ,tiny snails clambered over decaying stems of hogweed and tiny long tailed tits chirped as they flew between the trees.
On the journey back we were above the cloud of fog and in sunshine but it’s hard to capture the layers and to be in the right spot but still breathtaking.
A very Still day with the Firth like a millpond. I sat outside in the warmth.
The evening brought another change with dark dramatic skies.I had a brief walk at the Point, the tide was a long way out and you could see the rain edging closer and closer.A decaying seal pup had been washed against the lighthouse wall, I think a few marine creatures have been affected by the storms of last week.
