Horsey Wind Pump

When I last visited Horsey Wind Pump it was just a forlorn brick built tower with no sails. That was in the 1950s when I was on a Norfolk Broads holiday with friends from the Youth Fellowship. (Two boats, boys in one, girls in the other!) Now the pump has been painstakingly restored and is now in the care of The National Trust. We visited this afternoon and climbed right to the top to see the workings.
In the morning we had been on a cruise down River Bure from Wroxham, enjoying watching people messing about in boats on the river ( see extra)
It has been a blustery day with intermittent heavy showers and sunshine. Dramatic skies again, and lots of rainbows.
