Tandem

A totally fab day cycling around the Yorkshire countryside with other tandems. We met at the shop and then headed out around 9 in the rain. It soon dried up and it wasn’t long before we were talking off our waterproofs. The sun came out and the scenery was amazing. Such a beautiful part of the country.

We stopped after tea in Dacre to watch the women’s world championships come through. It was a amazing to see all the motorcycles and vehicles come first and then the peloton whizz past. Of course we had to wait for the last cyclist and the broom wagon before we could carry on. Next stop was the Bolton Abbey tea room for lunch. Then back to the shop for tea.

The hills were manageable and we had some fab descents. A great 47 mile route and so nice to be with other tandems.
