The Fog

Got to our holiday accommodation in Sandsend, a few miles from Whitby, the previous night. There are fourteen of us (6 adults and 8 kids) and we spent the evening catching up (and maybe having the odd drink!).

Saturday was even mistier than Friday, but it didn't stop us heading into Whitby - most of us walking along the beach, which was great in the slightly spooky fog.

Whitby's somewhere I've always loved, since I used to go there as a kid. Some things never change - like the Whalebone arch, the Lucky Duck shop and (bizarrely) the Arnold Palmer putting green. And, of course, the best fish and chips in the world - from The Magpie cafe, where we all went for tea.

And I did wonder, while we were looking round the old town streets, whether this could be a certain blipper's new direction in life...
