What a relief

This is one of our bed posts which goes from floor to ceiling. I was very proud of the neat joint, but since we took the tiles and battens off the roof (and re-roofed slightly higher up) the timbers have decided to give up their old sag and increase the distance from floor to ceiling - hence the gap.
