Aurora over Svolvaer

One of the reasons we'd booked the trip at this time of year was because we were hoping to catch some autumn colours, and the northern lights.  Day 9 was promoted as a highlight - the Vesteralen and Lofoten islands, including a trip into the narrow Trollfjord (weather permitting). 
It certainly didn't disappoint, as can be seen from the various extras from the beautiful dawn light through the stunning scenery.  Then shortly before we left Svolvaer, the bridge announced that the northern lights were showing.  I hadn't expected to be able to photograph them effectively from a moving boat, but as we were still moored in port as they began it was possible.
