Day 3

GR34

We'd orginally planned to spend a day exploring Concarneau and then using it as s base to explore the surrounding area but,on discovering different walks in the area, decided to limited ourselves to one excursion by car and spend more time exploring on foot.

This morning we followed a section of walking route GR34 along the coast to Le Foret Fausant and back (about 8 miles in total). 

It was lovely combining views of sea & rocks with woodland trials. We had hoped to have lunch at turning point but inn was closed as was creperie (a hazard of holidaying in shoulder season but compensated for by no crowds).

I took a stroll along beach this afternoon  and watched the tide come in, bringing with it interesting varieties of seaweed.
