It's all over

Well that's all that over for another year. The "Incredinburgh Winter Festival" is being packed away and stored in an attic somewhere.

I had a cultural meander stopping off at the annual releasing of the Turner watercolours (forgotten how many were painted in Venice and how close he was to Walter Scott) then on to a second visit to the John Bellany exhibition before deciding whether I thought the judges had called it right in the BP Portrait Awards at the National Portrait Gallery ( 2nd and 1st could have been transposed easily but very close). A quick coffee and a cake in the Gallery coffee shop and then on to Summerhall to talk with the curator of the Demarco collection and generally nose about.

Phew!

Back home for a cheeky pint with Mrs Smith and some sound advice from her and now time for tea.
