My World Through A Lens

Devils fingers....

I find these Stinkhorn aka Devil fingers absolutely amazing! I've found them in their egg form and when they have erupted and gone over! I will continue my hunt to find one in all its splendour.... They don't last long sadly.

Found today 4th October 2019 ~ New Forest

FYI ~ Clathrus archeri, commonly known as octopus stinkhorn, or devil's fingers, is a fungus which has a global distribution. The young fungus erupts from a suberumpent egg by forming into four to seven elongated slender arms initially erect and attached at the top.
