Bedroom cleared in readiness for a makeover!

Lidl is always crowded and devoid of staff, no matter what day of the week or time we go.

Today, the queues were up the aisles with just 2 tills open. All the customers were grumbling to each other.

To my husband's horror (and later, pride) I put on my loud work voice and shouted, "open another till please".

Immediately an automated voice announced "till number 3 is now opening" and it did.  I was thanked by my queue buddies and almost applauded.
