Strolling

JJ was on football duty this morning, so I took three bin bags of clothes up to the village hall for the Scouts jumble sale.   I had to fight my way down and back along our avenue through cars which are abandoned without a care whilst families drop off or stay to watch their children play football on our two local playing fields.

It was nearly ten thirty before I set off for a walk over the ridge but didn't get far as I spotted one of our friends painting his entrance gates.  Then Christine stuck her head out of the window and asked if I'd like a cup of tea, which I reluctantly accepted.  It was about mid-day before I set off and only managed a quick walk around the woods as my stomach was beginning to growl.
