Monterey Bay

Today was epic for wildlife - we started the day with a whale watching tour - humpback whales, sea lions, dolphins, a shark, a sunfish and Californian Sea Otters were all spotted. Sadly my whale pictures were a bit rubbish.

The afternoon was spent in the most amazing Aquarium there - it was just spectacular. Then we returned to Carmel via 17-mile drive and caught a stunning sunset. Not to mention, loads of deer and a raccoon that ran across the road in front of us and then ran down a drain.

Then it was a big steak supper in Clint Eastwood’ sold bar - he used to be the Mayor here and owned this bar.
