These are the shoes of a trail runner...

A and I went to the cottage last night to be ready to do the Tweed Valley Tunnel Trail Run 10k today.
I hadn't trained much and was feeling nervous about it.
A blown fuse, a pizza cooked in a frying pan, a cracking fire, red wine and lots of laughs were the perfect preparation.
Work has felt very stressful recently, we are acting up and we joked that this would be 'kill or cure'.
I think it's 'cure'.
The run was muddy and gorgeous, along by the Tweed then through forests, up steep hills, stunning views, over a stile, back to a tunnel and through that with lights making shadows on the wall as we ran. I loved it.
Home now to do nothing.
Lucky girl to have such a great friend, the opportunity to do this stuff, the cottage, the health to be able to run under the sky.
