Nice medal

Up early this morning as the ladies' running group had an outing to Peebles to run the Tweed Valley Tunnel Run. 12 had originally booked but in the end it was 9 of us, for various (excusable) reasons, who ran the trail.
we set off down that slope and then a narrow, muddy path along the river with tree roots and stones to avoid in places.
Under and over an old railway bridge, up some steep hills, out in rough pasture, queueing at a big style, lovely descents, more ups and downs and then back to the old railway and 600m through a tunnel lit with multcolours.
A challenging run but everyone got round safely and in good times and the rain held off until we'd finished.
We tried to find somewhere to eat in Peebles but the other runners seemed to have had the same idea and after trying half-a-dozen places we gave up and came home - by which time the rain had started properly so maybe just as well
