Sudsy's Year

New Study

Just finished the final touches on the newly-renovated study. Nice to be able to store all the books and vinyl LPs again, and since we've had the room clad in plasterboard on top ofo the brickwork it is so much warmer! The perils of owning an old Victorian house include a tendency to cold, with shallow external walls and no cavity. Add to that single-glazing with metal frames (they're a Victorian feature, so we can't change them really) and this room used to be really cold in winter. The piano didn't like that very much ... and neither did I if I was obliged to spend long hours at the PC whilst on-call.

Now, though, welcome back warmth and comfort! All is well with the world again.
