Cosmos

A lovely sunny day but I spent it relaxing after yesterdays energetic walk.  Making sourdough filled a lot of my time especially since I doubled the flour etc making it even more difficult to handle, but hopefully two loaves to be produced.  I managed a few trips down to the allotment in-between the constant attention demanded by the bread.  Unfortunately I hadn't been on the plot for about a week and as I arrived the sight of large quantities of caterpillars eating the sprouting broccoli made me gasp.  Fortunately a neighbour helped me out with removing them.  There followed some general tidying up of the plot and picking of spinach although I am still leaving the butternut squash out to ripen.
