Twa craws.....

A very wet morning. Managed to bring the cow that calved last night in with her calf by sneaking her out the corner gate while the rest were eating their barley. Brought her up the front drive and through the back garden , only a few foot prints on the lawn !
As predicted her udder was well and truly stuffed. 3 blind tits and about enough milk to make a cup of tea out the 4th. So another calf to bottle feed.
Went down the road to feed cattle and fill the petrol cans at Tesco. Got a call out on the tannoy while in getting some messages as a certain terrier had set the alarm off on the Landrover and some concerned customer had reported it !
A trip into Waverley tonight to drop Junior off for his train back to Uni. As it was still light, decided to have a climb to the top of Arthur’s Seat. Despite living here all my life , this was a first. Have decided life’s to short not to try things once . Half way up I thought I’m not as fit as I used to be. Spotted this pair of crows admiring the view. Not that there was much view tonight. If I was a normal person , not a farmer, I would be able to do this on a sunny dry day, not a p...ing wet night ! Still that’s one thing less on the bucket list. And after scrambling straight up the side of the hill through brambles and bracken, discovered there is a stone path goes up the other side ! Bugger .
