Day 3. Wet and grey start...

A planning meeting was held over breakfast ...Kaiser wanted his Glen Shiel Corbett to get 200 up but the rest weren't up for a soaking. Especially as I will almost certainly nab it on the way to Ciste Dubh.

So Kaiser went off on his own. Barry settled in to reading his remortgage agreement ( great way to celebrate your 51st birthday!) and the rest of us opted for a Skye Marilyn Ben Aslak.
Speed Bonnie Boat ...over the bridge to Skye
A heavy drizzle gave way to proper rain...but in the 58 minutes to the top it eased, stopped then cleared.
Great views to Knoydart and Arnisdale, less clear to the Cuillin but decent outlook over Scalpay and up to Trottternish.

28 mins down and off to buy the bits for roast chicken dinner.

Kaiser was back at 1345 and we all sat and ate before a 3pm departure.

Beautiful scenery down Glen Shiel and towards Invergarry. Depressed looking hordes in Pitlochry where we stopped for coffee and petrol

I finally got home at 10, having dropped everyone, cleaned the car then dropped it back before cycling the 3 miles home.

Having laughed at both Manchester teams on MOTD2 I collapsed. Aching and smiling.

A fantastic adventure with some friends and Her; the time away has done her a power of good. Mentally and physically.

Monday on the bike is going to tough after 42 km 2250 metres of climbing and 5 summits claimed. Oh and 610 miles driven....
